Playable demo of a noir graphic adventure, in the browser
Réquiem de Neón
One night, one city and one question: who killed Hana Mori? This is the demo of a game I'm rebuilding in Unity 3D, longer and in three dimensions. This version fits in a single HTML file: the city, the characters, the rain and the music are drawn and synthesised in real time, without a single image or mp3.

2.5D pixel art
Layered parallax, rain, neon reflections on wet asphalt, volumetric light and cinematic depth of field, all drawn on a 320×180 canvas.
A city that lives
Crowds under umbrellas, patrolling drones, a monorail, air traffic and holograms. Nothing is painted onto the backdrop.
Skeletal character animation
Inverse kinematics for arms and legs: they walk, gesture and smoke without a single hand-drawn frame.
Music that was never recorded
A noir synth soundtrack generated in real time with the Web Audio API, with its own mood for every location.
Your hands matter
Every drink makes the detective's hands shake and the screen sways with him. What you drank changes the ending.
One of three endings
Six locations, branching dialogue and inventory puzzles. The demo opens one of the three endings; the other two arrive with the full game.
